Events Round-up and Quiz Winner

We had a wonderful time at Stowlangtoft Hall on Friday 17 June. Stowlangtoft Healthcare are a fantastic group of people and run such a beautiful home. If you would like to know more about what is going on at Stowlangtoft Hall and learn about their ethos and the importance of quality of care; visit their website www.stowlangtofthealthcare.co.uk

On Saturday 18 June, we joined the Woolpit Festival Society for their Festival Day. We were in the wonderful Institute where the museum opened to the public and a number of very talented bakers ran a pop-up cafe for the day.

Outside, even though the weather wasn’t the most appealing shade of grey, Woolpit residents opened their gardens for the annual Open Gardens Tour. An event which sold over 300 tickets. Not bad for a damp and rainy day! If you would like to know more about the Woolpit Festival, visit their website www.woolpit-festival.com

At both events, we promoted not only our centre and the fantastic practitioners that work here. We also provided tea tastings!

Did you know that we now stock and sell loose leaf tea?

Did you know that we also sell tea infusers, cups and teapots?

You can call in anytime to browse our range of teas and stock items. We even sell gift sets and offer a personal order service. Contact us on 01359 408 011 to find out more or feel free to leave a comment for us to reply to.

Now, the most important part – we must announce the winner of our Quiz Question…

We asked: What is the item in the easel?

An interesting array of answers filtered through from our competition. Answers such as: A funeral plaque, a printing block or Chinese board game… A sign for a teahouse or a wedding gift were all insightful and interesting interpretations.

Similarly, we had one answer that suggested that it may have originally been a panel in a large door.

However, none of the above were correct.

We can reveal that the answer was: A Block of Tea

There were 3 individuals that guessed the right answer but of course, there could only be one winner for our £20 voucher.

So a very well done to Annette Blanshard for winning our competition.

A quick mention to both Ken Burr and Mary Portway for also having answered correctly!

We look forward to more events throughout the year and providing talks about the origins of tea and the various health benefits associated with it, as part of a balanced and healthy diet.

If you are an organisation or charity and would like for us to come and provide a talk and tea tasting, please feel free to contact Emma via email: emma@woolpit-complementary.co.uk
